MULTIPLE LISTING SERVICES. Generally, the key to marketing is ensuring that information on your property is as widely disseminated as soon as possible to potential, prospective buyers and the many real estate colleages with clients already looking for properties similar to yours. A ready avenue to wide exposure is through the various local and regional Multiple Listing Services. Most real estate firms on Whidbey Island are members of the Northwest MLS, the nation's largest MLS, with 16,000 members.

Using targeted media, such as the Seattle Times, The Eastside Journal, the Everett Herald, the South Whidbey Record and the News-Times, newspapers read locally or subscribed to by many, many local owners of recreational property and "second homes". PUBLICITY. Publicy, in the form of news releases, can achieve advantage over regular advertising.
